Joan V. Keeler, 86, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:10 A.M., Monday, December 26, 2022 at the Du Quoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Joan had owned and operated her own beauty salon. She had also worked for the Census Bureau for several years. Joan was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin and was active with the Homebuilder Class. She was a previous member of Domestic Science Club - Red Hat Society.
She was born March 28, 1936 in Swanwick, IL, the daughter of Raymond Zander and Anna Fern (Edwards) Burris.
She married Ralph Keeler on November 16, 1957 at the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin and he preceded her in death on March 13, 2007.
She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother - Raymond E. Burris.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 P.M., Friday, December 30, 2022 at the Bethel Cemetery in Swanwick, IL with her cousin Larry Jones officiating.
Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Swanwick, IL.
Friends may make memorials to the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
