Joan Joyce Kowalski, 81, of Tamaroa passed away at 5:22 P.M., Monday, December 12, 2022.
Joan had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa. She was a supporter of Disabled American Veterans.
She was born June 11, 1941 in Perry County, IL, the daughter of Ben J. and Martha M. (Koss) Rusiewski.
She married Donald E. Kowalski on June 25, 1966 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa and he preceded her in death on July 14, 2006.
She is survived by one son - Kevin Kowalski of Scheller, IL, one brother - Charles Rusiewski and wife Barbara of Nashville, IL, her dog - Angel and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, December 15, 2022 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa with Fr. Carl Schrage officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service at the church on Thursday.
Burial will be in the St. Charles Cemetery at Du Bois, IL.
Friends may make memorials to the Disabled American Veterans or the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
