Johnny Morris Doerflein, 50, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:20 A.M., Thursday, July 17, 2025 at his home.
He worked as a mechanic.
Johnny was born September 19, 1974 in Du Quoin, IL, the son of Donald and Glenda (Scarber) Doerflein.
He loved his kids and grandkids.  He enjoyed nascar and his favorite drivers were Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr.  Johnny loved to fish, ride motorcycles and tinkering on things.  He loved his family and always had their back.
He had a hard long battle of liver and colon cancer.
He is survived by five children - Alexandria Crabtree and husband Ken of Benton, Patricia Doerflein of West Frankfort, Ashley Doerflein of Zeigler, Jonathon Doerflein of Zeigler, and Chelsey Doerflein of Zeigler, six grandchildren - Aubree Chaney, London Chaney, Miley Chaney, Josie Chaney, Grayson Crabtree, and Kennedy Crabtree, mother - Glenda Doerflein of Du Quoin, sister - Helen Doerflein and husband Rocky Flack of Du Quoin, two brothers - Donald Doerflein Jr. of West Frankfort and Gary Doerflein of Du Quoin, five nephews - Cody, Dakota, Nathaniel, Landon, and Donald III, one great niece - Callan Doerflein, and one great nephew - Adrian Doerflein.
Johnny was preceded in death by his father.
Per Johnny's wishes cremation rites were accorded.
A Private Celebration of Life for family will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025.
Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
