Kassandra Diane Nicole Brown, 36, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:18 P.M., Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
She was born March 15, 1989 in Jacksonville, IL, the daughter of Donald and Kathy (Marez) Brown.
Kassie is survived by one son - Jameal Buress of Columbia, MO, two brothers - Donald K. Brown, Jr. of Murphysboro, and Wayne Hurry of Du Quoin, one sister - Emerald Eyer of Greenwood, IN, nine nieces and nephews - Ariel Boeck, Savhanna Brown, Saiyge Brown, Deven Boeck, D.J. Brown, III, Kaiyden Brown, Ryder Brown, Damion Hurry, and Wayne Hurry, five great nieces and nephews - Sophia Eaton, Paisley Eaton, Bentley Eaton, Rowan Eaton, and Leanna Boeck, and three sisters-in-law - Heather Dale, Jennie Brown and JoAnne Schaefer.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Celebration of Life services will be from 1 to 3 P.M., Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the family to help with funeral expenses and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Shipman Cemetery in Shipman, IL at a later date.
