Kathleen Marie Johnson, 64, of Du Quoin, passed away at 1:55 P.M., Sunday, April 18, 2021 at her residence.
Kathleen had been a homemaker. She was of the Christian faith.
She was born January 9, 1957 at East St. Louis, IL, the daughter of Jerry Mills and JoeAnne (Lewis) Brinkmeyer.
She married Loyd Robert Johnson on February 9, 1974 at East St. Louis, IL, and he preceded her in death on July 25, 2012.
She is survived by three daughters - Kerri Sizemore and husband Jimmie of Du Quoin, Tonya Johnson of Sesser and Angie Harper and husband Danny of Carterville, six grandchildren - Shelby McCrary and husband Roger, Mackenzie Sizemore, Shi-Anne Lappin, Saylor Lappin, Leum Harper and Lucian Harper, goddaughter - Sandi Murphy, siblings - Judi Sukowicz and husband Paul, Fred Mills, Ramona Reeves and husband Taron, Marcy Cox and husband Phillip, Rene Mills, David Mills, and Liela Jones and husband Larry, special friends - David and Mary Norton and many in-laws, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother and step dad - JoeAnne and Larry Brinkmeyer, her father - Jerry Mills, her husband, and two brothers - Michael Mills and Kevin Mills.
Per Kathleen's request, cremation rites were accorded.
A Celebration of Life will be from 5 to 7 P.M., Friday, April 23, 2021 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
