Kenneth W. Anheuser, 80, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:03 A.M., Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at his residence.
Kenneth had been a welder for the coal mine. He was of the Catholic faith. Kenneth had been a United States Marine Corps veteran. He was a member of the V.F.W., American Legion and UMWA.
He was born June 19, 1941 at Du Quoin, IL, the son of Charles William and Pauline V. (Hill) Anheuser.
He is survived by four children - Kristina Jo Anheuser and Joe Baker of Du Quoin, Jeanne Marie Ruby and husband Donald of Atlanta, GA, Angela K. McKinnies and husband David of Du Quoin, and Kenneth G. Anheuser of Du Quoin, eight grandchildren - Brian Cook and Stephanie, Scott Cook, Lacey Haggard and Aaron, Catrina Prather, Andrea Reed and Jumor, Nathan Anheuser and Kallie, Jordan Anheuser, and Zoey Anheuser, and fifteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother - Charles J. Anheuser.
Per Kenneth's request, cremation rites were accorded.
There will be no public services.
Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois, V.F.W. or American Legion and will be accepted at the funeral home.
