Kenneth L. Knapp, 81, of Tamaroa, passed away at 10:10 A.M., Monday, February 20, 2023 at his residence.
Kenneth had been a roof bolter at Consol Rend Lake Mine.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Kenneth enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and riding bikes.  He also enjoyed spending time with his family.  Kenneth was a John Wayne fan.
He was born October 23, 1941 in Tamaroa, IL, the son of Frank Andrew and Laura Eva (Moore) Knapp.
He married Sandra L. Weis on September 13, 1964 in Bethalto, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Tamaroa, three children - Kenneth Ray Knapp, Vicki Przygoda, and Jerry Allen Knapp and wife Michelle, all of Tamaroa, three grandchildren - Aaron Przygoda and wife Kassi, Brittany Knapp and Ashley Cole and husband Michael, two great grandchildren - Remi Przygoda and River Cole and one on the way, one sister - Dorotha Frost of Tamaroa, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters - Verna Bird and Marjorie Downen, and one brother - Leonard Knapp.
Celebration of Life service will be from 1- 4 P.M., Sunday, May 7, 2023 at Kenneth's home in Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to American Parkinson's Disease Association or the American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
