Leona M. Bullock, 95, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:25 P.M., Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Leona had worked as a retail clerk at Jack and Jill Children's Store and Curry's Clothing Store.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin, where she helped with the church nursery.  Leona organized and ran the Bridge Club.  She enjoyed bingo, bridge, bowling and playing games.  Leona enjoyed following her grandkids sporting events.
She was born February 21, 1930 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Flauaus) Brown.
She married Lionel Y. Bullock on November 27, 1948 at the Old Du Quoin Baptist Church and he preceded her in death on July 21, 2013.
She is survived by one son - Mark Bullock and wife Jean of Du Quoin, one daughter - Debra Burns and husband DeWayne of Du Quoin, two grandchildren - Blake Bullock and wife Ashley of Bowie, MD and Tyler Bullock of Du Quoin, two great grandchildren - Ana Bullock and Lilly Bullock, both of Du Quoin, numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother - Tom Brown.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, March 1, 2025 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery in Du Quoin, IL.
Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
