Levi C. Barnett, 37, of Dowell, passed away at 7:50 P.M., July 27, 2023 at Elkville, IL.

Levi was an underground coal miner for M-Class Mining.  He enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles and being outdoors with friends and family.  He was a great husband and father, and would do anything for anybody.

Levi was born December 27, 1985 in Carbondale, IL, the son of Robert E. and Susan (Terry) Barnett.  He married Brittany Riddle January 23, 2009 in Paducah, KY, and she survives.

He is survived by his wife of Dowell, father - Robert Barnett of Pinckneyville, mother - Susan Barnett of Sesser, two children - Clayton Barnett and McKenzie Barnett, both of Dowell, one brother - Anthony Barnett & wife Jessica of Tamaroa, brother in law - Michael Riddle of Vergennes, grandparents - Robert and Rose Barnett of Raleigh and Priscilla Terry of Hurst, four nieces and nephews - Quentin, Aliyah, Avery and Maverick Barnett.

Levi was preceded in death by his grandfather - Curtis Terry.

A memorial visitation will be from 5-7 P.M., Monday, July 31, 2023 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
