Linda C. Eisenhauer, 76, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:35 P.M., Saturday, August 24, 2024 at her residence.
Linda had been owner and operator of H&R Block.
She was born February 6, 1948 in Richlands, VA, the daughter of Thomas E. and Dorothy Mae (Brown) Hess.
She married Chester L. Eisenhauer on September 25, 1964 in Chicago, IL and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, three children - Eddie Eisenhauer and wife Joann of Du Quoin, Cathy Lindner and husband Eric of Port St. Joe, FL, and Matthew Eisenhauer of Mexico Beach, FL, five grandchildren - Jennifer Reckinger, Chelsea Lindner-Nevill, Carissa Coleman, Callie Hamilton, and Matthew Eisenhauer, Jr., four great grandchildren - Jacob Reckinger, Jordyn Reckinger, Ayden Tidaback, and Hudson Nevill, and four siblings - Sandra Timpner and husband Gary of Pinckneyville, John David Hess and wife Ellen of Texas, Debra Casey of Virginia, and Brenda Varner of Du Quoin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and four siblings - Margaret Eisenhauer, Judy Ridgeway, Kenneth Hess and Richard Hess.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Southern Illinois Hospice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
