Linda L. Meyer, 69, of Du Quoin, passed away at 7:04 P.M., Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at the Fairview Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Du Quoin.

Linda was an administrative assistant in the insurance field. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin.

She was born April 10, 1951 in Owensboro, KY, the daughter of Thomas and Bonnie (Hopkins) Black.

She is survived by three children - Angie (Jim) Scarber of Du Quoin, Ryan (Barbara) Meyer of North Kingstown, RI, and Matthew (Jennifer) Meyer of Eagan, MN. She is survived by 7 grandchildren, that she absolutely adored - Kirtley Scarber, Caden Scarber, Lillian Meyer, Joshua Meyer, Aiyana Meyer, William Meyer, and Elliot Meyer. She is survived by 2 brothers - John (Becky) Black of Adena, OH, and James (Ronda) Black of Murray, KY, 1 sister - Jenny (David) Martin of Du Quoin, and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a very special friend, Ken Johnson of Du Quoin. Ken loved our mom unconditionally, and took amazing care of her through her hardest times.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother - Thomas Black.

Due to Covid, there will be a memorial service planned in the spring.

Friends may make memorials to Bright Focus Foundation and will be accepted at the funeral home.
