Lorna "June" McClanahan, 75, of Elkville, passed away at 3:32 A.M., Thursday, June 8, 2023 at the Landmark Hospital in Cape Girardeau, MO.
June had been a homemaker and bus driver.  She was of the Christian faith.  June was a great cook and enjoyed cooking and baking, especially Christmas cookies.
She was born March 23, 1948 in Robinson, IL, the daughter of Jesse J. and Methel Alma (Matheny) Metheny.
She married Terry Douglas McClanahan on November 21, 1964 in Robinson, IL and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2023.
She is survived by five sons - Terry P. McClanahan and wife Paula of Du Quoin, Jesse J. McClanahan, Bradley A. McClanahan and wife Teresa, Brian D. McClanahan and wife Wendy, and Christopher L. McClanahan, all of Elkville, one brother - James Leroy Metheny and wife Lois of California, one nephew - Kip Metheny of Lawrenceville, IL, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Private family services will be held.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
