Lorraine A. Beard, 82, of Pinckneyville, formerly of Radom, passed away at 3:25 P.M., Monday, June 29, 2026 at the Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Lorraine made the world a better place because she was a teacher.  She loved her students and through her decades of teaching in Germany, Bahrain, and the United States, she inspired and impacted hundred of students who remember her fondly.  She was of the Catholic faith.
She was born October 25, 1943 in Ashley, IL, the daughter of Michael and Theresa (Ziarnek) Kujawa.
She married Milton Jung.  She then married Don Overton Karr and he preceded her in death on January 2, 2000.  She then married Bobby Beard and he preceded her in death on May 24, 2017.
She is survived by four children - Gregory Jung, Kevin Jung, Brent Jung, and Karron Karr, sister-in-law - Phyllis Kujawa, niece - Judy Limper, and nephew - Jeff Suchomski.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brother - Richard Kujawa, and sister - Rosemary Suchomski.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 15, 2026 at the Minson Cemetery in Jefferson County, IL with Fr. John Igwe officiating.  Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial will be in the Minson Cemetery in Jefferson County, IL.
Friends may make memorials to Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and will be accepted at the funeral home.
