Lynn Moore, 89, of Du Quoin, passed away at 12:42 A.M., Monday, October 26, 2026 at the Du Quoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Lynn had worked as a Registered Nurse at Marshall Browning Hospital for thirty-five years.  She was a 1957 graduate of De Paul Nursing School in St. Louis, Mo.  Lynn was a member of RNEL.  She loved all of her animals.  Lynn was of the Christian faith.
She was born December 26, 1936 in Benton, IL, the daughter of George Edward and Martha S. (Savant) Cook.
She married Larry J. Moore on December 12, 1957 in Los Angeles, CA and he preceded her in death on October 26, 2016.  Lynn and Larry got married after her nursing training and they moved to San Diego, CA because Larry was in the United States Navy.  After his discharge from the military, they moved back to Du Quoin.
She is survived by one daughter - Andrea Moore of Du Quoin and one grandson - Rami N. Meskaoui and fiancée Amanda Krugman of Island Lake, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
There will be no visitation and a private service will be at a later date.
Friends may make memorials to Perry County Humane Society or Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
