Margaret Ann Searby, 93, of Champaign, IL, formerly of Mt. Carmel, IL, and Browns, IL, passed away at 9:24 p.m. Monday, September 6, 2021 at the Amber Glen Alzheimer's Care Center in Urbana, IL.
Ann was born December 25, 1927 at Browns, IL, to Otis and Myrtle (Roby) Lankford. She married Charles Burke Searby on April 2, 1949 at Urbana, IL.
Ann is survived by sons, Charles D. Searby and wife Tonya (Floyd) of Carrollton, VA, and William Searby and wife Brenda (Kline) of Champaign, IL, sister, Kathleen Nelson of Browns, IL, six grandchildren: Erin (Searby) Green, Ryan Searby, Caleb Frankland- Searby, Sarah Frankland-Searby, Andrew Barker, Tom Barker, and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Burke, daughter, Jane (Searby) Barker, brother, Russell Roby Lankford, sister, Mary Racster, and granddaughter Stephanie Ann Barker
She worked as a surgery technician for Wabash General Hospital in Mt. Carmel, IL for twenty-five years. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Mt. Carmel.
Private family graveside services will be held at the Bone Gap Cemetery.
Friends may make memorials to the Trinity United Methodist Church, Bone Gap Cemetery, or the Alzheimer's Association and will be accepted at the funeral home. Flower orders may be sent to The Watering Can in Albion, IL.
