Mark Alan Morefield, 65, of Du Quoin, passed away at 7:37 P.M., Thursday, May 19, 2022 at his residence.
Mark had retired from the United States Army. He was also a teacher's aide for the Du Quoin Middle School. Mark was a member of the Vision Church in Du Quoin. He was a member of Boy Scouts Troop 156.
He was born May 15, 1957 at Bellflower, CA, the son of Howard Russell and Christine Eileen (Bodie) Morefield.
He is survived by two sons - Nathan Goodnight and wife Rachel of North Carolina and Ben Morefield of Du Quoin, one daughter - Emily Morefield of Du Quoin, one brother - Perry Morefield of California, one sister - Cynthia Haven of California, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother - Howard Jay Morefield.
Memorial services will be at 4:00 P.M., Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Vision Church in Du Quoin with Bro. Nathan Jackson officiating.
Friends may call from 3 P.M. until the time of service on Friday at the church.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
