Mark Alan Queen, 53, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:08 A.M., Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at the Integrity Healthcare of Herrin.
Mark was of the Baptist faith.  He had been a volunteer fire fighter and first responder for the Sesser Fire Protection District from 1996 until 2002.
He was born September 1, 1971 in Du Quoin, IL, the son of Frederick and Mary Eileen (Center) Queen.
He married Carol Ann Green on April 7, 2017 in West Frankfort, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, three children - Amber Endicott and husband Matt of Sesser, Ariel Moore and Ed Mitchell of Sesser, and Jeremy Queen of Ziegler, three step children - Emi Green of Indiana, Lane Green of Du Quoin, and Cassie Green of Carrier Mills, one sister - Sarah Self of Marion, one brother - Andy Queen and wife Nellie of San Diego, CA, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law - Cathi McClanahan, Lisa Rice and husband Mike, Jeremy McKinstry, Barbara Tripp, and Mark Tripp, and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother - Mary Eileen Davis, father - Frederick Queen, step dad - Bill Davis, two brothers - Tom Queen and Billy Davis and one sister - Darlene Hamburger.
Per Mark's request, cremation rites will be accorded.
Celebration of Life Service will be at 5:00 P.M., Monday, September 23, 2024 at the Park Avenue Church of God (2019 North Park Ave., Herrin, IL 62948) with Pastor Philip Rexing and Pastor Wayne Gardner officiating.
