Marla Gaye Mitchell, 65, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:10 P.M., Saturday, June 5, 2021 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Marla had been a homemaker.
She was born August 5, 1955 at Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Jesse and Violet (Hall) Kennedy.
She is survived by one daughter - Mindy Mitchell of California, one son - Cody Kennedy of Du Quoin, four sisters - Janis Jokisch and husband Johnny of Texas, Glenna Pfau and husband Larry of Pinckneyville, Dianne Sims and husband Larry of Du Quoin, and Karen Keller of Vermont, and one brother - David Kennedy and wife Crystal of Du Quoin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one niece - Emily Pfau.
Family services will be held at a later date at the Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Primitive Baptist Cemetery in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
