Martha Ann Freeman, 77, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:55 A.M., Sunday, April 7, 2024 at the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL.
Martha had worked as a LPN at Fair Acres Nursing Home in Du Quoin.  She was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in Du Quoin.  She had attended Du Quoin Grade School and graduated from Du Quoin Township High School in 1964.  Martha was a member of Odd Fellows-Rebekah of Illinois and Du Quoin Rebekah Lodge 15 for forty-eight years.  She was also a member of Pinckneyville Moose Lodge, Du Quoin V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and Eagles Lodge.
She was born October 16, 1946 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Leslie Lincoln and Margaret (Miller) Berger.
She married George Edward Freeman on August 17, 1994 in Pinckneyville and he preceded her in death on January 8, 2004.
She is survived by three step children - Wayne Morgan, Mark Morgan, and Vickie Morgan and her caregiver - Kristy King of Pinckneyville.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, April 12, 2024 at the Gospel Assembly Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Gaylen Holden officiating.
Friends may call from 12:30 P.M. until the time of service on Friday at the church.
Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Gospel Assembly Church or donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
