Mary Eileen Jackson, 92, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:25 A.M., Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at the Du Quoin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Eileen had been a homemaker. She was a member of Vision Church in Du Quoin. Eileen loved her family.
She was born July 15, 1930 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Henry and Mary Viva (King) Jackson.
She married Kenneth J. Jackson on May 4, 1951 in Piggott, AR and he preceded her in death on January 1, 1988.
She is survived by one son - Dennis Jackson and wife Dana of Du Quoin, one daughter - Kathy Funke and husband Bill of Tamaroa, three grandchildren - Lisa Funke of Tamaroa, Matthew Jackson of Du Quoin and Nathan Jackson and wife Nicole of Du Quoin, one great grandson - Graham Henry Jackson of Du Quoin, two sisters - Betty Ann O'Keefe of Du Quoin and Patty Bruns and husband Paul of Pinckneyville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, February 6, 2023 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Nathan Jackson officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Vision Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
