Mary Frances Owens, 97, of Du Quoin, passed away at 10:35 A.M., Monday, July 4, 2022 at the Fairview Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Du Quoin.
Mary had been a bookkeeper for thirty-five years for the Du Quoin Community Unit School District #300. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Du Quoin and Euzelian Sunday School Class.
She was born June 25, 1925 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of G. Frank and Flo (Thompson) Clark.
She married Delmar Owens on December 26, 1946 in Du Quoin, IL and he preceded her in death on April 29, 1985.
She is survived by her extended family members including Cindy Miller and husband Jay of Centralia, Jona Black and fiancé Derek of Du Quoin, Mandy Mantia and husband Nick of St. Louis, Karsten and Jase Black of Du Quoin, Benson and Bella Bialek of St. Louis, her many church family members and special friends - Ruth Showalter and Ceil Melvin, both of Du Quoin.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 11, 2022 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Jim Endsley officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church Building Fund and will be accepted at the funeral home.
