Mary I. SanJuan, 89, of Sycamore, IL, passed away at 8:17 A.M., Saturday, September 19, 2026 at the DeKalb County Rehab and Nursing Center in DeKalb, IL.
She had worked as a buyer for Lutz Sales Company, Incorporated.
Mary was born November 23, 1936 in Sesser, IL, the daughter of Salvador and Dorothy (Gilliam) Ortiz.
She is survived by four children - Dorothy Ann Miller and husband Tom of Payson, IL, Cheryl Lyn Dillon and husband Wayne of Villa Park, IL, Michael Ray Rice and wife Kathy of Sycamore, IL, and Lisa Marie Eilers and husband George of Sycamore, IL, ten grandchildren -Michelle Kaltenbach, Jennifer Dillon-Cochran, Christine Schwerin, Jeff Dillon, Melissa Miller, Nicole Berhorst, Trevor Rice, George Eilers, Marissa Rice, and Lauren Palrang, twelve great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, two siblings - Robert Ortiz of Maine, and Marie Woodside of Sycamore, IL, and many nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother - Salvador Ortiz, and two sisters - Lupe Long and Dolores Rice.
Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Friday, September 25, 2026 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 10 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Paradise Cemetery in Tamaroa, IL.
