Norvell Leo "Bud" Walker, 85, of Goreville, passed away at 3:47 P.M., Monday, January 12, 2026 at the Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Bud was a truck driver for the majority of his life. He was a United States Navy veteran during peace time. Bud was of the Protestant faith.
He was born September 29, 1940 in Carterville, Illinois, the son of Albert Leo and Phyllis (Ferguson) Walker.
He is survived by his son - Jimmy Walker of Wisconsin, two sisters - Louise Walker of Du Quoin and Donna Lorraine Rodusky of Chino, California, and his best friend, his dog - Bouncer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother - Lee Walker.
Per Bud's request, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no public visitation or funeral service.
Friends may make memorials to the donor's choice and will be accepted at the funeral home.
