Phyllis A. Ferguson, 81, of Tamaroa, passed away at 11:23 P.M., Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital.
Phyllis had been a homemaker. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa.
She was born December 21, 1940 in Perry County, IL, the daughter of Lawrence and Eugenia (Tkaczyk) Knapp.
She is survived by one daughter - Debbie Carter and husband Tom of Sesser, one son - Kenneth Ferguson, Jr. of Du Quoin, grandchildren - Siara Carter of Sesser and Cheyenne Ferguson of Pinckneyville, one great grandchild, three brothers and five sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one stillborn daughter, two brothers and one sister.
Per Phyllis' request, cremation rites were accorded.
Burial will be at a later date in the Tamaroa Cemetery in Tamaroa.
Friends may make memorials to the Tamaroa Cemetery and will be accepted at the funeral home.
