Richard E. "Dick" Lynch, 85, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 1:14 P.M., Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the SIH Memorial Hospital in Carbondale, IL.
Richard had been owner and operator of Richard's Tool and Machine Service.  He had worked in Elgin and Rockford before moving to Pinckneyville.  Dick attended Oak Grove Baptist Church in Pinckneyville.  He was an avid reader.  His kids and grandkids were his whole life.
He was born August 15, 1939 in West Baden, IN, the son of Herman and Inez (McFarland) Lynch.
He married Ruby R. Kellerman on February 28, 1959 and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Pinckneyville, four children - Richard H. Lynch and wife Lisa of Pinckneyville, Rae Ann Lynch of Hawaii, Darren Lynch and wife Lynnette of Pinckneyville, and Paul Lynch of Tamaroa, five grandchildren - Stephen Lynch, Madison Lynch, Jacob Lynch, Julia Lynch, and Ana Lynch, one sister - Patricia Donnoe of Virginia, one niece - Amber Donnoe, and one nephew - Yossarian Donnoe.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother - Herman Lynch.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, March 7, 2025 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church in Pinckneyville with Bro. Rob Mathis officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the church.
Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Pinckneyville, IL.
Friends may make memorials to the family with donations made to Ruby Lynch and will be accepted at the funeral home.
