Ricky Allen Everly, 69, of Du Quoin, departed this life on Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL.

Ricky was born in Herrin, IL on January 18, 1952 to Harry and Betty (Jennings) Everly.

In 1970, Ricky graduated from Blue Mound High School, Decatur, IL. Upon graduation, Ricky enlisted in the United States Navy, where he served his country for twenty years, earning numerous medals and awards. In 1990 upon his discharge from the military, Ricky returned to Southern Illinois.

In 1986, Ricky graduated from National University, San Diego, CA with a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.

Upon his military retirement, Ricky was employed as a Management Systems Specialist for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, Marion Area.

On June 3, 1972, Ricky married Betty Anita Uhl in Coalinga County, CA and she preceded him in death in 2003.

Ricky was the proud father of Sherry (Jason) Beers of Johnston City, Timothy (Raven) Everly of West Frankfort, and Shawn Everly of Herrin. He was equally proud of the accomplishments of his grandchildren - Mickayla, Stoney, Bryar, Cooper, and Calla Beers, Kali, Tyler and Logan Everly, and Paytyn Everly.

Ricky was preceded in death by his wife, parents and one brother - Brad Everly.

Ricky is survived by his children, grandchildren, his sister - Diana (Vince) Adams, brother - Matthew (Desiree) Everly, nieces, nephews, and significant other - Wendy Manna of Du Quoin and her daughter - Deidre Manna Yoshioka (Kota) of Los Angeles, CA.

In accordance with Ricky's wishes, no services will be held. A burial at sea will be performed by the United States Navy.
