Robert Lee Hanke, 71, of Du Quoin, passed away at 8:30 P.M., Thursday, November 23, 2023 at his residence.
Robert had worked at Wal-Mart in Du Quoin in maintenance.  He had also owned a DJ business for many years.  He was a graduate of Elverado High School.
He was born December 19, 1951 in East St. Louis, IL, the son of Amanda Evelyn Rainey Hanke.
He is survived by his twin sister - Virginia LaBruyere and husband Roger of Millstadt, IL, nieces and nephews - Renee LaBruyere and spouse Michael Kirksey, Chad LaBruyere, and Laura McWilliams and spouse John, all of Millstadt, IL, and great niece - Grace McWilliams of Millstadt, IL.
He was preceded in death by his mother and grandfather - Ferdinand Hanke.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, December 8, 2023 at the McElvain Cemetery in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Those attending the service are asked to go directly to the cemetery.
Burial will be in the McElvain Cemetery in Du Quoin.
