Robert K. "Robbie" Jones, 67, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:20 P.M., Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at the Baptist Health in Paducah, KY.
Robbie enjoyed bowling with his parents and brother in his younger years.  He also spent a lot of his time fishing; from when he was a boy to when he was a father taking and teaching his own kids to fish.  He was patient and kind and was a man of many talents who could do anything he set his mind to.  Robbie was a selfless man and would do anything for anyone.  He first worked as a truck driver and then he served his community by becoming a police officer for the City of Du Quoin.  Later on, he retired as a prison guard at Pinckneyville Corrections.  He was always supportive of his kids and his family will cherish the memories that were made with him throughout his years.  Memories filled with laughter, fun and love because that's just who he was.  He will be missed by many.  But we know that Jesus has led him to a room prepared just for him - right beside his mom and dad and daughter and son - right where he belongs; home.

He was born April 12, 1958 in Du Quoin, IL, the son of Robert and Darleen (Porter) Jones.
He married Donna Prior.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, three children - Tyler of Georgia, Demi Gore and husband Kyle of Murray, KY, and Megi Negre and husband Sonny of Murfreesboro, TN, one brother - Kenny Jones and Holly of Du Quoin, one sister - Cindy Jones of Du Quoin, grandchildren - Alaina, Kaylee, Lucy, Leni, Owen, Juni Mae, and Noah, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son - Corey Robert Jones and one daughter - Jana Sue Jones.
Memorial visitation will be from 5 to 7 P.M., Saturday, May 17, 2025 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Education Fund for Kaylee Jones with donations made to Donna Jones and will be accepted at the funeral home.
