Obituary

Roberta Louise (Morgan) Allabastro, of Du Quoin, left her earthly body on December 2, 2025 (don't worry, I'm not telling them your age momma!) at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
And, it's safe to say it was early enough in the day that she made the morning coffee and Vienna finger cookie date with her mother, father, and sister that she had been waiting the last 47 years to attend.
Roberta was a homemaker.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carbondale.  She had also attended First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin, Pinckneyville and Sunfield.  She had been a member of the choir and handbells.  Roberta enjoyed being a member of the DTHS Class of 66 Girls Group.
She was born June 27, 1948 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Robert "Benny" and Sylvia (Moore) Morgan.
She married David Allabastro on August 9, 1968 at the First United Methodist Church in Du Quoin and he survives.
She is survived by her husband and best friend, David, her two children, Kathy and Michael, and her three grandchildren, Jackson Melvin and Colton and Isabella Allabastro.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benny and Sylvia Morgan, and her sister, Sybil Morgan, who have all been anxiously awaiting her arrival.
She was a lover of all things David, dessert, Elvis, the Statler Brothers, Little House on the Prairie, the Waltons, ugly little smashed face dogs, and of course her handbell choir performances. I feel it's safe to say she will be anxious to meet several of the aforementioned individuals as soon as she catches her already present family up on the goings on down here.
Look out Elvis!!!( but,sir... if you are touring up there with a bus and a tiny lady sticks herself to the window.. that's just my mother.. she'll let go eventually. No cause for concern!!!)
The family would like to send our sincere gratitude to the Emergency service employees and the staff of Marshall Browning Hospital for their dedication to helping her upon her arrival.
