Roddie Lee Swallers, 68, of Buckner, passed away at 2:00 P.M., Friday, September 11, 2026 at his residence.
Roddie had been an electrical worker.  He enjoyed hiking, fishing and photography.  Roddie was an animal lover and gardener.  He enjoyed the outdoors.  Roddie was a spiritual person.
He was born October 12, 1957 in Kankakee, IL, the son of Bobby G. and Betty (Russell) Swallers.
He is survived by two sons - Brant Swallers and Alison of Bradley, IL and Matthew Swallers and Teah of Whittington, IL, three grandchildren - Logan Swallers, Rayna Swallers, and Rhett Swallers, one sister - Robin Turrell and Greg of Limestone, IL, nieces and nephews - Katie Linnell, Nathan Turrell, Shane Swallers, Heather Swallers, and Brittany Curtis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother - Rickie Swallers.
A Celebration of Life will be at 5:00 P.M., Saturday, October 10, 2026 at the Du Quoin Eagles.
Friends may make memorials to the Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
