Ronda Sue Helsley, 47, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:55 P.M., Saturday, June 12, 2021 at her residence.
Ronda had been a nurse and worked at Rea Clinic for several years. She was a member of the Sunfield United Methodist Church. Ronda had been a past member of Eastern Star and Daughters of the Nile.
She was born September 8, 1973 at Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Norman and Janet (Siefert) Nevill.
She married Travis Helsley on November 10, 1989 at Du Quoin, IL and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, two children - Trevor Helsley and Lauren Helsley, both of Du Quoin, two grandchildren - Monte Helsley and Malachi Helsley, both of Du Quoin, two brothers - Brent Nevill and wife Linda of Du Quoin and Bart Nevill and wife Karen of Tamaroa, two sisters - Angie Rojek and husband Mark of Tamaroa and Yolonda Hess of Herrin, two uncles - Marlin Nevill and wife Barbara of Du Quoin and Don Siefert and wife Betty of Du Quoin, mother-in-law - Judy Helsley of Du Quoin, three sisters-in-law - Cathy Chaney, Launa Harsy and husband Roger, and Sherri Smith and husband Ralph, all of Du Quoin, numerous nieces and nephews, and many special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents - George and Fay Nevill and Charles and Myrtle Siefert, father-in-law - Charles Helsley and brother-in-law - Gary Chaney.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the United Pentecostal Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Bill Wiggs and Rev. Dan McKinnies officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
Burial will be at 11:30 A.M., Saturday, November 20, 2021 at the Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the education fund for her grandchildren with checks payable to Travis Helsley and will be accepted at the funeral home.
