Rosa Lee Tow, 95, of Elkville, passed away at 8:40 A.M., Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at the SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale.
Rosa had been a seamstress at Country Set.  She was of the Baptist faith.  Rosa loved shopping, traveling, sewing and painting.  She also enjoyed gardening and planting flowers.
She was born September 10, 1929 in Jackson County, IL, the daughter of Arthur and Gertrude "Ponder" Gray.
She married Raymond L. Tow on September 29, 1947 in Vergennes, IL and he preceded her in death on May 31, 2004.
She is survived by one son - Edward "Butch" Tow and wife Diane of Elkville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers - Robert Gray, Jimmy Gray, and Bill Gray, and four sisters - Marge Ertel, Mildred Barwick, Ilene Furlow, and Ruth Ertel.
Funeral services will be at 6:00 P.M., Friday, August 8, 2025 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Gary Pruitt officiating.
Friends may call from 4 P.M. until the time of service on Friday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be at a later date.
Friends may make memorials to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be accepted at the funeral home.
