Scharlene Jeschke, 77, of Elkville, passed away at 10:46 P.M., Monday, July 3, 2023 at Prairie Living at Chautauqua in Carbondale, IL.
Scharlene had been a factory worker.  She was an avid reader and gardener.
She was born January 25, 1946 in Carbondale, IL, the daughter of Albert and Louise (Messer) Horn.
She married John H. Jeschke on March 5, 1966 in McHenry, IL and he preceded her in death on September 19, 2022.
She is survived by three sons - Christopher Jeschke and wife Connie of Vergennes, David Jeschke and wife Michelle of Elkville, and Steven Jeschke and wife Sherry of Elkville, six grandchildren - Andrew Jeschke, Gabrielle Jeschke, Abigail Jeschke, Jacob Jeschke, Jonathan Jeschke, and Lindsay Barone, and four great grandchildren - Eli Hanson, Cooper Barone, Willow Jeschke, and Mason Jeschke, and one sister - Nancy Phillips of Cambria.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters - Dolores Rowan, Delia Sims, and Pat Craig, and one brother - Robert Horn.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, July 15, 2023 at the Dowell Baptist Church in Dowell with Rev. Phillip White officiating.
Friends may call from Noon until the time of service on Saturday at the church.
Friends may make memorials to Kidney Foundation or American Cancer Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
