Shannon Maurice Wallace, 41, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:31 A.M., Saturday, March 1, 2025 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Shannon had worked as a coal miner for Mach Coal Mine.  He was a member of Gospel Assembly Church in Du Quoin.
He was born November 7, 1983 in Pinckneyville, IL, the son of Jack M. and Sue Ann (Boling) Wallace.
He is survived by one son - Brent Wallace of Du Quoin, his mother - Sue Ann Heape and husband Nathan of Du Quoin, his father - Jack M. Wallace and wife Heike of Mt. Vernon, fiancé - Courtney Boyd of Du Quoin, grandmother - Jo Ann Boling of Du Quoin, four brothers - Jason Wallace and Sam Arendell of Murphysboro, Brandon Halstead and fiancé Paige Towle of Du Quoin, Christopher Wallace of Houston, TX, and Trevor Heape of Du Quoin, one step sister - Denise Smith and husband Josh of Pinckneyville, several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
