Sharon Kay Steward, 82, of Du Quoin, passed away at 4:00 A.M., Friday, January 17, 2025 at the Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Sharon had been a homemaker.  She was a member of Sunfield Community Church and Perry County Home Extension.
She was born March 9, 1942 in Newton, IL, the daughter of Dean and Charlene (Hartleroad) Woods.
She married Larry Steward on August 11, 1961 in Newton, IL and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Quoin, three children - Lisa Fisher and husband Mark of Du Quoin, Lance Steward and wife Staci of Irvine, CA, and LeAnn Judd and husband Steve of Broadway, VA, grandchildren - Kyle Fisher, Jacob Fisher, Katherine Steward, Emma Steward, Alyssa Lamke, Caleb Skidmore, and Alex Judd, great grandchildren - Harper Hunt, Harrison Fisher, and Emmett Lamke, and siblings - Shirley Saegesser and husband Bill of Jeffersonville, IN, Nancy Allen and husband Dennis, Cindy Rife, Rex Woods and wife Amy, and Paul Woods and wife Laura, all of Newton, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son - Todd Steward.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Pastor Carman Wuebbels officiating.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 P.M., Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery in Du Quoin, IL.
Friends may make memorials to American Cancer Society or Lewy Body Dementia Association and will be accepted at the funeral home.
