Sherry Lynn Scott, 74, of Du Quoin, passed away at 5:45 P.M., Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at the Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Sherry had been a forklift driver at GS Metals. She was a member of the Du Quoin Jaycees. Sherry loved animals.
She was born October 18, 1948 in Du Quoin, IL, the daughter of Le Roy and Evalina (Dimitroff) Shaw.
She is survived by five children - Donald Eisenhauer, Jr. and wife Mary of Zeigler, Linda Nevill and husband Brent of Du Quoin, Kim Jones and husband David of Du Quoin, Michael Eisenhauer and wife Crystal of Pinckneyville, Amber Ferguson and husband Stephen of Du Quoin, three brothers - Jim Dimitroff of Du Quoin, John Dimitroff of Du Quoin and Lavern Shaw, thirteen grandchildren - Katie Eisenhauer, Kay Fritz, Nick Eisenhauer, Dax Nevill, Ethan Nevill, Josh Ehler, Shaylyn Little, Shane Eisenhauer, Samantha Eisenhauer, Peyton Eisenhauer, Madelyn Ferguson, Austin Ferguson and Erin Ferguson, fourteen great grandchildren and her two beloved dogs - Bella and Izzy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, uncle and aunt - Andy and Madlene Dimitroff and sister-in-law - Jane Dimitroff.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M., Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to Whispering Willows Senior Dog Sanctuary and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Burial will be at a later date in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery in Du Quoin.
