Shirley A. Butler, 73, of Du Bois, passed away at 1:30 P.M., Saturday, May 24, 2025 at Friendship Manor in Nashville, IL.
Shirley had worked as a factory worker for Walgreen's Distribution.  She enjoyed cooking, being outdoors and spending time with her pets.
She was born July 11, 1951 in Waltonville, IL, the daughter of Edward and Lavern (Klamm) Setzekorn.
She married Phillip Butler on December 23, 1988 at the Methodist Church in Ashley, IL and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Du Bois, three children - Terry Anselment and wife Penny of St. Charles, MO, Curtis Anselment and wife Angie of Bluford, IL, and Tara Trumbo and husband Jason of Ankeny, IA, two step sons - Phillip Donald Butler of Anna, IL and Nathan Butler of Fairfield, IL, three siblings - Charles Setzekorn and wife Norma of Mt. Vernon, IL, Karen Braden and husband Franklin of Ashley, IL and Charlotte Borowiak and husband Louis of Ashley, IL, five grandchildren - Cody Kohn, Casey Kohn, Patrick Ormsbee, Layne Butler and Kingston Butler, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents - Edward Setzekorn and Lavern Udarholt.
Private memorial graveside services will be held at a later date.
Burial will be in the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Du Bois, IL.
Friends may make memorials to Washington County Animal Shelter and will be accepted at the funeral home.
