Theresa R. Johnson, 70, of Du Quoin, passed away at 9:24 P.M., Sunday, December 19, 2021 at the SSM Good Samaritan in Mt. Vernon, IL.
Theresa had been a school bus driver for Sherman Bus Service. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin.
She was born November 16, 1951 at Ft. Hood, TX, the daughter of Alfred and Nellie Rosalee (Melvin) Skidmore.
She married John R. Johnson on November 15, 1969 at Tamaroa, IL and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2008.
She is survived by one daughter - Terry Johnson of Du Quoin, two sons - Johnny Johnson and wife JoEllen of Casa Grande, AZ, and Jefferey Johnson and wife Heather of Mulkeytown, four grandchildren - Taylor Johnson-Alvis and husband Devin of McLeansboro, Jefferey Lane Johnson of Mulkeytown, Jett Johnson of Mulkeytown and Jake Moore of Du Quoin, two brothers - Alex "Tony" Skidmore and wife Diane of Du Quoin and Aaron Skidmore and wife Amanda of Herrin, two sisters - Marjorie Skidmore-Conner and husband Johnny of Du Quoin and Orpha Jane Skidmore-Cox and husband John of Wilcox, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son - Robert Johnson, and three brothers - Alfred "Corky" Skidmore, Lewis Skidmore, and Nicholas Skidmore.
Memorial visitation will be held from 5 to 7 P.M., Monday, December 27, 2021 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.

In lieu of flowers, friends may make memorials to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Park in Du Quoin, IL.
