Thomas R. Keller, 84, of Du Quoin, passed away at 1:45 P.M., Friday, March 27, 2026 at his residence.
Tom had worked as the care taker of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Sacred Heart Cemetery in Du Quoin.  He had also been an umpire for girls softball and boys baseball and a referee for basketball.  Tom coached for Sacred Heart School.  He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Du Quoin.  He enjoyed fishing and the company of his grandchildren.
He was born March 5, 1942 in Du Quoin, IL, the son of Joseph Roy and Mary Arlene (Rodman) Keller.
He married Esther L. McKenzie on May 2, 1970 in Du Quoin, IL.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, eight children - Robert Shaw and wife Rosalyn of Mulkeytown, Cindra Shaw of Du Quoin, Raymond Shaw and wife Becky of Du Quoin, Wendetta Linders of Pinckneyville, Joseph Keller of Carbondale, Theresa Brake and husband Keith of Du Quoin, Thomas J. Keller of Washington, IL, and Greg Poe and wife Sara of St. Joseph, IL, twenty grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons - James Keller and Johnathan Keller and two grandsons - Corey Shaw and Jake Keller.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, April 2, 2026 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Joe Wagner officiating.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 P.M., Wednesday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Du Quoin, IL.
Friends may make memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
