Vernon Louis Carter, 47, of Du Quoin, passed away at 1:58 P.M., Thursday, February 3, 2022 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Vernon had been a commercial manager at AutoZone. He was a member of the Gospel Assembly Church in Du Quoin.
He was born February 21, 1974 at Pinckneyville, IL, the son of Vernon D. and Christy (Dunmyer) Carter.
He is survived by two daughters - Anna Lavita Carter and Bethany Laura Carter, both of Du Quoin, his mother - Christy Carter and husband Kim of Du Quoin, his father - Vernon Dale Carter and wife Ellen of Tucson, AZ, special friend - Crystal Davis of Du Quoin, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, February 7, 2022 at the Gospel Assembly Church in Du Quoin with Rev. Gaylen Holden officiating.
Friends may call from 11 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the church.

Burial will be in the Old Du Quoin Cemetery at Du Quoin.
Friends may make memorials to the Gospel Assembly Church in Du Quoin and will be accepted at the funeral home.
