Wayne Alan Born, 57, of Du Quoin, passed away at 6:48 P.M., Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin, IL.
Wayne had worked at Motomart for many years.  He had been a softball coach for his daughter Emily, who was his pride and joy.  Wayne enjoyed golfing.  He was an animal lover and his family is sure that Wayne is now running with his dog Goku.
He was born January 6, 1968 in Murphysboro, IL, the son of Henry and Myra (Noakes) Born, Jr.
He married Marianne Sweetin on March 18, 2000 in Du Quoin, IL and she survives.
He is survived by his wife of Du Quoin, one daughter - Emily Born Patterson (Brett Reiger) of Benton, his father and step mother - Henry and Margie Born, Jr. of Du Quoin, one step brother - Brett Thomas of Du Quoin, two step sisters - Amanda Evans of Mt. Vernon and Donna Reese of Du Quoin.
He was preceded in death by his mother, step father - Ray Gant, grandparents - Melton and Reatha Noakes, Henry Born, Sr. and Dora Morber, mother-in-law - Paulette Avery, and son-in-law - Jakeb Patterson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M., Monday, March 3, 2025 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Rev. Dan McKinnies officiating.
Friends may call from 9 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Burial will be in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Carterville, IL.
Friends may make memorials to the Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
