Obituary

William Paul (Bill Boy) Jenkins, 76, left this world and entered the arms of Jesus on March 20, 2026.
Bill was born March 31, 1949 in Du Quoin, Illinois, the son of William and Mary (Torok) Jenkins.
Bill served in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era serving as a specialist fourth class. He was a member of Sunfield Community Church, the Du Quoin V.F.W., and the American Legion.
Bill was a coal miner for twenty years before he was in a mining accident that almost took his life in 1990, ending his mining career. He then moved on to be the owner of Crossroads Mobile Home Park and was a property manager there for nearly twenty years before retiring. He spent the majority of his retirement in Florida before relocating back closer to home to be near his family and friends.
Bill was a devoted father to his three children. He never missed an opportunity to support them in any extra curricular activity or sporting event and that carried over into their adulthood. He loved his grandchildren dearly and enjoyed being their Papa.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, he especially loved going out to eat at Lamberts in Sikeston, going to antique stores and pawn shops, and he was a Du Quoin sports and Florida Gators fan.
Bill is survived by his three children - Brooke Rainwater (and Andy) of Marion, Brittnie Kellerman (and Scott) of Du Quoin, Christopher Jenkins (and Steve) of Mt. Dora, Florida, five grandchildren - Jess Rainwater, Jasper Rainwater, Maggie Kellerman, Lucy Kellerman, Sophie Kellerman, two sisters - Mary Lydia Jenkins of Dowell, Patti Jenkins of St. Louis, MO, four nieces - Rachel Rider, Marti Rider, Danielle Spiekerman, Dana Shaw, and his beloved dog - Coco.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents - Paul and Mary Torok.
