Wilma Ann Fox, 97, of Dowell, passed away at 6:01 A.M., Monday, April 8, 2024 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin, IL.
Wilma had worked as a telephone operator, different positions in factories, and most recently a school bus driver.  She was a big animal lover and most of all Wilma was a really good mother.
She was born December 29, 1926 in Murphysboro, IL, the daughter of Loren Steven and Florence (Robinson) Hines.
Wilma married William E. Fox on November 30, 1963 in Murphysboro, IL and he survives.
She is survived by her husband of Dowell, one daughter - Julie Fox of Dowell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and two sisters.
Per Wilma's request, cremation rites will be accorded.
Friends may make memorials to Perry County Humane Society and will be accepted at the funeral home.
