Wilma Lee Plumlee, 96, of Pinckneyville, passed away at 10:57 A.M., Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Pinckneyville Nursing and Rehab.
Wilma had been a homemaker. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
She was born April 29, 1926 in Thompsonville, IL, the daughter of Frederick and Daisy Dimple (Pritchard) Read.
She married Levern G. Plumlee on March 20, 1948 at Mayfield, KY and he preceded her in death on October 10, 1993.
She is survived by two sons - Steven Plumlee and wife Cathy of Pinckneyville and Michael Plumlee and wife Debbie of Pinckneyville, grandchildren - Jimmy Bauersachs and wife Heather of Pinckneyville, Julie Coleman and husband Jeff of Arnold, MO, Shawn Plumlee of Pinckneyville, Cory Plumlee of Pinckneyville, and Joshua Plumlee and wife Natasha of Pinckneyville, great grandchildren - Taylor Coleman, Lauren Coleman, Isabel Coleman, Anna Coleman, Ryan Coleman, Izzabelle Plumlee, Riley Bauersachs, Alivia Bauersachs, Royce Plumlee, Teagan Plumlee, and Adelyn Plumlee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter - Mary Ann Andrews, five sisters and one brother.
Private graveside services were held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at the Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville with Rev. Tim McIntyre officiating.
Burial was in the the Mueller Hill Cemetery in Pinckneyville, IL.
Friends may make memorials to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
