Wilman C. "W.C." Pfeiffer, 90, of Du Quoin, passed away at 3:33 P.M., Monday, February 3, 2025 at the Pinckneyville Community Hospital in Pinckneyville, IL.
W.C. had worked in bank management.  He was a United States Navy veteran.  W.C. had been a member of Lutheran Church Missouri Senate.  He had also been a member of Laborers For Christ.
He was born July 9, 1934 in New Wells, MO, the son of Wilhelm and Ella (Hutteger) Pfeiffer.
He married Shirley Juanita Stroder on February 22, 1955 in Jackson, MO and she preceded him in death on October 31, 2020.
He is survived by three children - Debra Pfeiffer and husband Larry Vancil of Du Quoin, Dusty Pfeiffer and wife Kathy of Du Quoin, and Dan Pfeiffer and fiancé Missy Moran of Patton, MO, seven grandchildren - Curtis Pfeiffer and Adriane of Du Quoin, Shannon Cook and Nick of Du Quoin, Shawn Stokes of Du Quoin, Blake Pfeiffer of Perryville, IL, Jason Vancil and Brandi of Du Quoin, Kelsey Podnar and Trent of Du Quoin, and Kate Valier and Jacob of Du Quoin, thirteen great grandchildren - Tara Ellison and fiance Jonathon Hackleman, Taylor Ellison, Peyton Cook, Paisley Cook, Austin Stokes, Avery Stokes, Tripp Pfeiffer, Stella Pfeiffer, Ryker Vancil, Haley Williams, Brynn Podnar, Vaida Podnar, and Olivia Pfeiffer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and one brother - Vernon Pfeiffer.
Per W.C.'s request, cremation rites were accorded.
There will be no public services held.
Friends may make memorials to Bethel Lutheran Church and will be accepted at the funeral home.
